A CATANA 411 wins the ARC 2002 to St Lucie and a CATANA 471 wins the ARC 2002 to Antigua.

Over 200 sailing boats left Las Palmas heading for St Lucia last November for the 2002 ARC edition. Among these, 5 CATANA participated. "MAYA", a CATANA 411 owned by Mr Friedrich, is the winner of the multihull division with a corrected time of 13 days and 10 hours. Four other CATANAs (2 CATANA 582, 1 CATANA 581 and 1 CATANA 471) arrived among the seven firsts. "MAYA" is also the overall winner of the race, even if this year the organizers of the ARC decided not to include the multihulls in the overall results. On November 23rd, the ARC Antigua started from Lanzarote. "GORILLA", a CATANA 471 owned by Mr Del Bo, the winner of this race.
