Catana Catamarans

Multihulls magazine with the test of performance, comfort, security and quality of catamaran Catana 50

CATANA 50 : Test realised by Multihulls Magazine

Conclusion (Extract) :

« The Catana 50' is a successful bluewater cruising catamaran ; it offers a calm synthesis of tried and tested solutions and offers a rich amateur a compromise between comfort and behaviour suited to life aboard and ambitious programmes. The level of quality reached by the first models should allow the series to sell well ; full maturity will mean a check on the weight of the less imortant areas. The boat sails well, the geometry is right ; the combination of rig and fittings is a real success and will correspond to the brand clientele's expectations. »

CATANA 50 : Test realised by Yachting World Magazine

Conclusion (Extract) :

« This is a yacht that will achieve what she sets out to do-fast, comfortable passages. On the water she shows good speed and, although not a thrill to sail, it probably doesn't matter-set the autopilot and this yacht will reel off the miles while you sit in the cockpit or saloon and enjoy the well thought out recreational areas. The interior is finished to a high level of comfort and should allow awner and guests to socialise while giving each plenty of private space. From the outside the yacht looks strikingly modern and will certainly make a statement in harbour. »

Multihulls Magazine with the test of performance, comfort, security and qualitu of catamaran Catana 65

CATANA 65 : Test realised by Multihulls Magazine

Conclusion (Extract) :

« The 65’ follows on from the 471 (the company’s emblematic boat), but it outclasses it in all areas, in my opinion. To benefit from its excellent pedigree, it is important to be reasonable with the options and the load embarked, which may be considerable given the stowage capacity; there is a 3-ton difference between an unladen and a fully-laden boat! The 240 l/h watermaker will help intelligent management of inert masses; the excellent dynamic qualities will put the fuel consumption into perspective. The catamaran will expand its capabilities fully in oceanic conditions, where it should excel. A future challenger in the cruiser/racer rallies, (a confrontation between an Outremer 64 and a Catana 65’ in 2008-2009?), the 65’ looks like it will become a performance-comfort reference. »
