Energy Capacity

Electrical system
Power is supplied by four to ten maintenance-free and high-capacity house batteries (115 Ah each) and two dedicated engine batteries. In case of engine battery failure, it is still possible to start the engines through the house batteries.
These batteries can be charged by the two alternators, solar panels (4 to 16) or by the shore line, through a charger. The AC current (110 or 220 volts) can be supplied by the inverter.
All the electrical system of the boat is centralized on a panel in the salon. The new wiring is a simplified " remote power " type, with few relay boxes throughout the boat. This system is a lot more reliable, makes maintenance easy and still reduces the number of connections, as the length and weight of cabling required.
Pressurized fresh water is supplied by two independent electric pumps. Hot water is provided by two water-heaters, running on the inverter, shore power and on the engine cooling system.

The engines
A High cruising speed
The two standard diesel in-board engines give you a high cruising speed. The narrow CATANA hulls optimise the speed/consumption ratio.
The possibility of motoring with only one of the two engines, means 50 per cent longer engine life and range, and inceases security. By having an engine in each huIl, you can pivot the boat around by putting one engine ahead and the other in reverse. The engines are totally separate from the accommodation, in watertight compartments, protecting you from any smell and noise.
High average speeds
The sound insulation of the engine rooms is so efficient that the engine noise is less than that of water lapping against the hulls, whether you’re in a cabin or in the cockpit! The two three-blade propellers are highly efficient. Theyautomatically fold as soon as you start sailing. These features from the conception of a CATANA provide you with high average speeds, without any effort, and improve comfort and safety.
