Catana Catamarans

CATANA RALLY 2004

To celebrate the shipyard twentieth year, they came from all over Europe, Austria, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Portugal, Britain and even the United states. Owners who had chosen the Mediterranean for their playground and who gathered for a weekend at Porquerolles... Fifteen great catamarans moored side by side. Even the harbormaster of Porquerolles had never seen anything like it !
Symbolic of the event : Esterelle, a Catana 42 made in 1984, the second catamaran in the history of a shipyard that now counts over 300 units... And her first and only owner Gérard Rosset, has taught a thing or two to many far more recent craft...
The gathering, which took place in the sunshine, with plenty of wind, bouillabaisse and the fun of sailing, provided an opportunity for Olivier Poncin, the Group Chairman, to reassure owners and expressed the Group's will to continue making Catanas according to the high standard of quality on which the make's reputation has been built.
